The school hosted a Spic Macay sparked Koodiyattam Lecdom by the renowned dancer Shri Margi Madhu. The programme was held in the premises of D.A.V Public School, Sector 37, Faridabad and was witnessed by the students of classes IX to XII. The two hour programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the guests and Principal Mrs. Neelam Gandhi. Shri Margi Madhu began the lecture demonstration with the explanation of 24 hand gestures demonstrated by his tender age son Shri Hari Mehagya. These 24 hand gestures are like the alphabets, used in demonstration of sentence or long story. He went to interact with the students audience and talked about the essentials of Koodiyattam. His team of musicians included Shri Kalamandlam Ridish Bhas and Miyavu, Shri Kalamandalam Anu on Miyam, Shri kalanilayam Rajan on Edakka and Shri Kalamandlam Satishji for make up. The programme came to an end with the enthralling performance by Dr. Induji (wife of Shri Margi Madhu) on a ‘Krishna Pootnawadh’, which mismerised all the member of the staff and students audience. In the end Mrs. Neelam Gandhi thanked Spic Macay and the renowned artists from the core of her heart and presented the souvenir as token of Love.
